World Cup 2006 on free-to-air channels

RTM channel blocking by Starhub

Though that I could watch the World Cup from the RTM channels. I tried to tune into the RTM channel and got some dumb message about the poor quality is inherent to the feed or something. Just in time for the World Cup, great!:( Just wish they would stop filtering the channels, man. If our neighbours can provide us with free World Cup coverage, why can't the local channels do the same? And if they can't, at least don't deny us access to those who can? It's like we are being held hostage to subscribe to cable tv. Fortunately for me, I live in the east and am able to get the Indonesia's RCTI/SCTV channel for free, with a bit of fiddling of the cable.
If you can't get a clear signal by switching cables, try this.

1. Get an A-B switch, those adapters where you you can switch from TV to antenna
2. Connect it to your TV, tune for Indonesian channel RCTI
3. Connect the original TV antenna to your switch

When it's time for the match, disconnect your original antenna from the adapter, and switch to RCTI. Worked for me during the Euro championships.
