Starting to get busy at work

After about 2 months at my new workplace, I'm starting to be assigned work. Much of my work revolves around using Oracle, a certain OO language and JSPs. I've downloaded the the lite version of Oracle DB to familiarise myself with it. It's been some time since I've used SQL as previously I was doing more Java applications related stuff. It's a good thing to pick up I guess, given that quite a few interviewers specifically asked if I had experience with Oracle or PL/SQL.

My main problem is about getting to know the work processes which are quite complex. The other problem is working with the code which is basically not documented. At the moment there are some senior colleagues there who have spent many years on the project, so at least I can approach them for help. But the problem with undocumented code is that sometimes the people who wrote the code don't understand it when they look at it a few months down the road!
